How the hell do I organize this stuff!!!???

Well, the time has come.

As I sit here on the couch, I have come to the inescapable conclusion that I have to revisit my old media style of organization I am applying to my new media life.

I am in all the “right places” at this point. I’m active on Twitter. I have my Facebook page. I am playing with Seesmic. I have Digg, Del.icio.us and Flickr accounts. But my browser looks like it did in 2006. My bookmarks toolbar is loaded with links to individual newspaper websites I don’t use, while my screen bounces to social media sites that I have to enter ‘the old-fashioned way.’ My Google Reader account is hopelessly chaotic – with groups for “Web 2.0″ and “Technology” that are bursting at the seams while my “New England Newspapers” section sits quiet and lightly read.

So – I need to de-clutter. I need to clean. I need a high-tech colonic. And I’m a little afraid. Because the only time a cluttered room looks even worse than normal is when you get halfway into cleaning it.

What are your strategies for organizing your feeds, platforms and aspects of your computer life?

I’d love to hear them.
